What we do

Starting during lockdown, our group of volunteers have provided support urgently needed by vulnerable members of the community. The most immediate needs were for food parcels; deliveries of essentials, including prescriptions; phone buddies and support for those shielding or self-isolating. We also help those returning from abroad & needing quarantine as well as anyone contracted by Track & Trace & asked to self-isolate. All of which things we’re continuing for the foreseeable future.

However, as the pandemic draws on and the longer-term impact is becoming more apparent, we’re adapting our response to support as many people in our community as we can.

Why Join in?

Social isolation, loneliness, stress and low-mood are all knock-on consequences of having to physically distance from each other, and some of the economic effects of the pandemic. Couple this with people reducing their exercise or movement due to staying in more and the wider health & wellbeing impacts become potentially worrying in the long-term. Which is why we’re launching into action with our new initiative!

We want to be ahead of the game, and encourage people of all ages & abilities to join in with our inclusive range of ‘feel-good’ activities. All classes are aimed at beginners and being fully accessible, with a strong emphasis on enjoyment.

We’re encouraging anyone with even a passing interest in the above activities, or even just a desire to get out of the house a bit more, to book in and give it a try. They’re completely free! Come along, move your body, learn something new and, most importantly; socialise!
