At IP17 GNS we recieved the below message from DAS (Disabilty Advice Service) which is a Suffolk-based volunteer organisation dedicated to supporting & advising disabled people & carers in this region.
“We’ve been alerted recently to the great work you’re doing in your locale. We provide free advice and advocacy for the disabled and their carers across East Suffolk on a wide range of subjects such as welfare rights, employment-related benefits, housing adaptations to name but a few.
We opened an outreach centre in Saxmundham last year but have been unable to man it during the pandemic. We are, however, keeping in touch with clients in your area through our listening and postal services. We thought it would be helpful to make known that we are very much here at the end of the telephone to help the disabled and carers in your area.
Our website has just been updated and contains detailed information about what we do including crisis intervention.”
